1. Who we are

Kairo Works is the independent publishing and development brand responsible for Truth or Dare. Privacy inquiries may be sent to [email protected].

2. Scope

This policy applies to the Truth or Dare app, its related public pages and the official contact channels listed here. Third-party services used by the app, including Google Play and Google Mobile Ads, are also governed by their providers' own policies.

3. Current product summary

  • The app does not require a Kairo Works account or login for basic use.
  • Player names or nicknames, game settings, custom questions, custom challenges, preferences and other local game content remain stored on the device when those features are used. They are not sent to a Kairo Works server.
  • The app offers in-app purchases through Google Play. Google Play processes the information required to complete, validate, restore and manage those purchases under its own policies.
  • The app currently uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob), provided by Google, to load, display and measure advertising.
  • The app does not request precise location for basic operation. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may, however, estimate approximate location from the IP address.

4. Information that may be processed

  • Local game content: player names or nicknames, questions, challenges, game settings, preferences, local usage history and progress. This content remains on the device and is not sent to a Kairo Works server.
  • Local technical data: settings needed for operation, language preferences, theme, local unlock state and similar information.
  • Support data: if a user contacts Kairo Works by email, Kairo Works may process the name, email address, message content, voluntarily submitted attachments and information needed to answer the request.
  • Store and purchase data: Google Play may process product identifiers, purchase status, receipts, tokens and other information needed to process, validate or restore purchases and distribute the app.
  • Advertising-related data: the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share the IP address, approximate location estimated from the IP address, app interactions, diagnostic and performance information, advertising ID, App Set ID and other identifiers related to the app, device or account, where applicable.

5. Advertising and Google AdMob

The app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK, provided by Google, to load, display and measure ads. This SDK may automatically collect and share information such as the IP address, approximate location estimated from the IP address, app interactions, diagnostic and performance information, advertising ID, App Set ID and other identifiers related to the app, device or account, where applicable.

This information may be used for advertising or marketing, ad delivery and measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, security and compliance. Data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is protected in transit using TLS.

For transparency, approximate location, app interactions, diagnostic information, device identifiers and other IDs may be collected and shared by the Google Mobile Ads SDK for the purposes described above.

Google's processing is subject to Google's own privacy policies and controls. See the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Users can reset or delete the advertising ID and manage ad personalization through Android settings, Google Account controls and My Ad Center.

Kairo Works does not receive the text of custom questions or challenges or player names or nicknames through AdMob. That content remains stored locally on the device.

6. Purposes of processing

  • operate the app and its games;
  • store preferences and user-created content locally on the device;
  • process, validate, unlock or restore purchases;
  • load, display and measure ads;
  • perform advertising or marketing and analytics;
  • prevent fraud and support security and compliance;
  • respond to support, privacy or legal requests;
  • analyze stability, failures, performance and compatibility;
  • meet legal, regulatory, tax, security or platform obligations; and
  • improve the experience, fix errors and evolve the product.

7. Legal grounds

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may rely, as appropriate, on performance of a contract or related steps, compliance with legal obligations, exercise or defense of legal rights, legitimate interests, fraud prevention and security, or consent where required by applicable law. This policy does not claim that the app contains a specific consent-management mechanism that has not been confirmed in the implementation.

8. Sharing with third parties

Kairo Works does not directly sell users' personal data. Information may be transmitted or made available to third parties in these circumstances:

  • to Google Play for app distribution and purchase processing, validation or restoration;
  • to Google through the Google Mobile Ads SDK, which may collect and share the categories described in the advertising section for advertising or marketing, analytics, fraud prevention, security and compliance;
  • to infrastructure, hosting, domain and email providers needed to maintain Kairo Works public pages and contact channels; and
  • when necessary to comply with law or a competent authority, protect rights, prevent fraud, maintain security or investigate abuse.

The text of custom questions or challenges and player names or nicknames are not sent to Kairo Works and are not received by Kairo Works through AdMob.

9. International transfers

Google and other technology providers may process information in countries other than the country where the user is located. Processing and transfers performed by Google through the Google Mobile Ads SDK are governed by Google's own privacy policies, frameworks and controls. Other providers used by Kairo Works may also process information outside the user's country where needed to provide their services and in accordance with applicable law.

10. Retention and deletion

  • Data and content stored locally remain on the device until the user deletes them, clears the app's data or uninstalls the app.
  • Kairo Works does not keep player names or the text of locally used custom questions and challenges on its servers.
  • Support messages may be retained as needed to provide support, prevent abuse, defend rights or comply with legal obligations.
  • Records related to purchases, support, security or legal obligations may be retained for periods required or permitted by applicable law.
  • Retention of information processed directly by Google, including through the Google Mobile Ads SDK, follows Google's own retention policies and controls.

11. Deleting local data

Users can remove local data using in-app options when available, by clearing app data in Android settings, or by uninstalling the app. These actions may remove progress, preferences, player names and custom content stored on the device.

12. User rights and controls

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, information about sharing and other rights relating to data for which Kairo Works is responsible. Requests may be sent to [email protected].

For data and identifiers processed directly by Google, users can also use controls provided by Google and Android, including resetting or deleting the advertising ID and managing ad personalization in My Ad Center.

13. Security

Kairo Works applies reasonable measures intended to reduce risks of unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure of information under its responsibility. Data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is protected in transit using TLS. No app, device or internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and each provider also applies its own security controls.

14. Children, teenagers and adult content

The app is intended for social entertainment. Some modes, packs or content may be unsuitable for minors or intended only for adults. Users should follow the age rating shown in the store and app. Parents or guardians should supervise minors where appropriate.

15. Device permissions

The app does not need sensitive permissions such as camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, calls or precise location for basic operation. This does not prevent active technical services, including the Google Mobile Ads SDK, from processing the IP address and approximate location estimated from the IP address. If an update requests new permissions, their purpose should be explained in the app and reflected in applicable disclosures.

16. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app, SDKs, advertising, purchases, features, legal requirements or platform policies. The current text will remain available at this URL with its corresponding update date.
